A song about a homeless man, based on some I used to see around the vegetable market near the Bull Ring in Birmingham, as I came out of the folk club in my student days.
It has a special place in my heart, because it was the first song I wrote that became a regular part of my repertoire, and was much loved by the audience of the Maidenhead Folk Club, when I helped run it in the mid-1970’s.
